Throughout the 1980's United Storage expands into larger retail projects, working with companies like Texas Homecare (now Homebase). To accommodate this growth, we move again, to bigger premises at Stort Mill Industrial Estate, Riverway, Harlow.

Our sister company, Uni-Shop (Fitting Limited), is incorporated into the United Group fold to offer shopfitting services throughout the United Kingdom.

Only a few years after the first move to Harlow, our rapidly expanding business means we must look for a new location befitting ambitious growth plans. We make the move to our current premises at United House, Takeley.

Recognising the rapid growth of the self-storage industry in the UK and beyond, USS diversifies its business and collaborates with the industry, providing a specific service to this important sector.

In the mid-2000s, United Construction and Manufacturing was established, providing the United Group with a manufacturing facility that offered advantages such as project control, flexibility, and cost reduction for our customers.

Some four years after the start of operations at our in-house manufacturing facility, we open United Tools and Fixings shops in Haverhill and Takeley on 08/08/08. With the opening of these shops, we’re able to offer the entire package of fixings for our projects, giving our customers a one-stop outlet for their project work.

Today, United Storage Systems is a highly respected company within the storage systems industry. Our commitment to providing exceptional service has earned us the loyalty of our customers, many of whom continue to return to us for all their storage system needs.
